Efficiency First Kansas City is a non-profit organization that promotes energy efficiency at home and in the work place. We are a group of contractors and individuals who care about energy efficiency in the Kansas City area.
We help promote energy efficiency incentive programs like the Home Energy Savings Program from KCP&L and Spire Energy and Spire Energy's Low-Interest Loan Program. We also provide information for national and local tax incentives and other programs that help homeowners, landlords, and business owners save money on energy efficiency.
We also offer free workshops, classes, and presentations for groups big and small. We teach how to lower your energy usage through simple steps you can take at home and at work. Emails us to find out more: kc@efkc.org.
Community groups, homeowners associations, landlords, businesses, anyone - if you want to get a better sense of your home or business and how to make it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, we can help! We offer free workshops that cover everything from changing light bulbs to solar panels. Get to know your building and how to make it more energy efficient.
We'll also explain the incentives available in the Kansas City area from free audits to no-interest loan programs. New federal tax credits; programs from KCP&L, Spire Energy, Independence Power & Light, and BPU; state tax deductions are all available and we know a lot about them!

Home Energy Rebates Available from KCP&L and Spire Energy
Get up to $1,600 when you upgrade your home with energy improvements including air sealing and insulation. No income requirements, but you must be a Missouri customer of KCP&L and/or Spire Energy.
